Mechanicsburg-North Rotary Announces Major Community Commitment
Club aims to raise $35,000 to reinvest in community needs.
MECHANICSBURG, PA (July 13, 2026) – It is that time of year when 45,000 Rotary Clubs around the world install their new officers. They are presenting the service commitment of more than 1.2 million global members.
Likewise in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Brian Fields CFP® will assume the role as this year’s President of the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North.
Yet this year is immensely special for the Club. It celebrates 35 years of service in the Central Pennsylvania region and around the world, highlighted by a fundraising campaign titled 35&MORE.
To honor this special occasion, Fields and his new officers are announcing an expanded commitment to Rotary International’s century’s old theme of Service Above Self.
35&MORE will expand in several directions including:
- A fundraising goal of $35,000
- Supporting regional nonprofit and governmental organizations demonstrating a need
- Growing membership through increased service to others
Fields states, “Our Rotary members already support soup kitchens, area food banks, school students, family support programs, our community libraries and Rotary District 7390 and global activities. But, in these times, we feel MORE can be done to help others.”
As the new 2026-2027 Mechanicsburg-North Rotary Club President, Fields brings more than 43 years of business and financial experience currently serving as Senior Vice President and Resident Director at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Since its founding on December 28, 1990, with 25 charter members, the Mechanicsburg-North Club has engaged area business, education and non-profit leaders to join Rotary and give of themselves, learn more about what is happening in our region and to engage in Rotary International humanitarian work in critical areas such as:
- Peace
- Eradicating polio
- Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene
- Improving child health
- Supporting education around the globe
- Growing local economies
- Protecting the environment
